Campbell crime report for the week of March 11


Feb. 21
Overnight in the 00 block of West Campbell Avenue: Someone wrote illegible words with marker on walls.
12:39 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle left running with two flat tires. The vehicle, a 2019 Toyota Camry, had been reported stolen out of San Jose on Feb. 17.
400 block of Salmar Avenue: A white 2001 Chevrolet 2500 pickup was stolen.
8:35 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A woman, 27, was asleep behind the wheel. She was contacted in her car and found to be DUI.
Feb. 22
12:25 p.m. in the 900 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Someone smashed the window to a vehicle and stole a bag containing personal items.
12:35 p.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Latimer Avenue: A man, 30, was observed yelling at a passerby with a stroller and stumbling into the roadway. He was contacted and found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
3:12 p.m. in the 1200 block of Burrows Road: The victim responded to a fraudulent email from a spoof PayPal email address, and $500 was taken from the account.
5:18 p.m. in the 2400 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A transient man, 48, was observed shoplifting and had items from the store in his pant legs. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
5:52 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone shoplifted approximately $1,300 of items and fled prior to officers’ arrival.
8:52 p.m. in the 400 block of Industrial Street: A stolen white 2000 Pontiac Firebird was recovered.
9:58 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and Sunnyoaks Avenue: A woman, 44, was walking into traffic. She was found to be too intoxicated to care for herself. During a search incident to arrest, a bag of suspected methamphetamine was located on her person.
11:17 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A man, 23, was passed out in the hallway and was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
1:06 a.m. at South Bascom and East Campbell avenues: A man, 28, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and burglary tools.
2:03 a.m. in the 00 block of Curtner Avenue: A man, 41, drove a vehicle into a tree. The suspect, who is a convicted felon and is out on bail for various narcotics related charges, was ultimately found to be under the combined influence of alcohol and a stimulant. A backpack in his vehicle contained a loaded 9mm handgun and approximately 1.25 lbs. of methamphetamine believed to be possessed for sales.
4 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Campbell Avenue: A man, 24, was causing a disturbance. Upon contact, he was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
1200 block White Oaks Avenue: A white 2007 Ford Ecoline was stolen.
Feb. 23
8:14 a.m. in the 1300 block of Camden Avenue: A suspect, 34, was causing a disturbance and fled prior to officers’ arrival but was discovered across the street. The suspect was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Overnight in the 1700 block of Whitwood Lane: A blue bicycle that was locked in the common area of the complex was stolen.
11:12 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: An employee confronted a man who stole a soda from the business. The man swung a plastic bottle at the victim but missed. The victim said he feared for his life. The suspect had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
11:27 a.m. in the 800 block of Sobrato Avenue: Someone opened an account under the ’s the victim’s name and hacked into her Facebook.
Overnight in the 00 block of Poplar Avenue: Someone spray-painted on a garage door.
11:12 p.m. in the 00 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A woman, 41, was drinking alcohol in the parking lot. The officer attempted to stop her, but she walked away. She was arrested a short distance away.
1000 block of Hazel Avenue: Someone accessed the victim’s credit card to book multiple flights.
200 block of Hollis Avenue: Someone accessed the victim’s account and stole funds.
Feb. 24
12:13 p.m. in the 1400 block of Abbot Avenue: Someone used a marker to tag the bathrooms.
Overnight in the 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone forced entry into a business and stole multiple credit cards that were later used.
9:18 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A 30-year-old was causing a disturbance inside the store and fled prior to officers’ arrival. The store desired prosecution.
12:01 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 31, was under the influence and had meth, fentanyl and paraphernalia.
3000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone opened an account in the victim’s name.
900 block of Springfield Drive: Someone forged a check in the victim’s name.
1400 block of White Oaks Road: Someone used the victim’s ladder to climb up and look into windows, then stole ladder and fled.
Feb. 25
8:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Waldo: Three juveniles on skateboards damaged the outdoor water fountains and roof, and tried to set toilet paper on fire on the play structure.
9:13 a.m. in the 200 block of Rose Court: Someone stole packages and fled in a silver BMW 3 series.
11 a.m. at Colleen and Superior: Someone punched the locks to a USPS truck, stole mail and fled.
Overnight in the 2200 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone stole construction material from a business.
6:31 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A man, 53, was called on as being suspicious and found to be under the influence.
6 p.m. at Almarida and Salmar avenues: Someone called to report that an unknown male pushed him from behind.
8:25 p.m. in the 800 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A man, 40, was stopped for a vehicle code violation on a bike after fleeing a short distance. He was in possession of meth, paraphernalia and a collapsible baton. He was also under the influence.
10:38 p.m. at Arroyo Seco and Bascom Avenue: A man, 45, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI.
11:43 p.m. at Central Avenue and Tubby Street: A man, 39, was contacted, and during a consent search, a pipe and dirk or dagger was located.
1 a.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Cherry Avenue: A woman, 40, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be DUI.
4:37 a.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Sunnyoaks Avenue: A man, 32, was contacted and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of a pipe.
Feb. 26
8:40 p.m. at Foreman and McGlincy: A man, 28, and a woman, 31, were contacted after the woman was heard screaming. They were both found to be under the influence of a stimulant, and the man had a meth pipe.
Overnight in the 100 block of Lu Anne Drive: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole the victim’s purse. The suspect later used the victim’s credit cards.
3:16 p.m. at Budd and Emory: Someone in a black Camry challenged the victim to a fight after a disturbance with the victim on his scooter.
6:49 p.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A man, 31, got into an argument with the victim in violation of a no-contact domestic violence order.
12:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Emory Avenue: A man, 26, was causing a disturbance. Upon officers’ arrival, the man was being pinned down after fighting with several family members. The suspect deliberately kicked an officer.
11:59 p.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Camden Avenue: A woman, 43, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. During a search, two meth pipes were located.
Feb. 27
5:52 a.m. in the 00 block of Amato Avenue: Someone entered a locked vehicle and stole jumper cables and a vehicle manual.
Overnight in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone smashed the windows to a vehicle and stole jewelry.
11:14 a.m. in the 200 block of Budd Avenue: A man, 32, caused a disturbance and upon contact was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also found to be a missing person out of Sacramento County.
12:02 p.m. in the 400 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man, 59, was passed out in front of a business. He was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
5:36 p.m. in the 400 block of Kuehnis Drive: Three suspects reportedly arrived at the residence of three victims and sprayed them with bear spray chemical agent. A baggie of prescription bills and a meth pipe were located in plain view.
9:58 p.m. in the 900 block of Apricot Avenue: The suspect texted the victim in violation of a served domestic violence restraining order.
1:43 a.m. in the 300 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man, 34, was contacted in his parked vehicle and was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
1:50 a.m. at South Bascom Avenue and Dry Creek: A man, 35, was the driver of a vehicle stopped for vehicle code violations. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle. The suspect was found to be DUI and placed under arrest.
