The 2028 Summer months Olympics in Los Angeles will be held from July 14-30, 2028, officials declared Monday.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Olympic officers shared the dates for the games at a press conference at Exposition Park on Monday.

“The Olympic torch is currently lights up our metropolis,” Garcetti said.
The dates for the 2028 Paralympics, for athletes with bodily disabilities, had been also announced at the press convention. The 2028 Paralympics will be held from Aug. 15-27, 2028, also in Los Angeles.
LA28 Chief Athlete Officer Janet Evans touted the announcement in a statement Monday.
“Today marks the formal countdown to the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games,” she said. “The LA28 Online games will be unlike any other, showcasing the very best of Southern California’s remarkable stadiums and planet-course culture to athletes and lovers alike.”
The opening ceremony on July 14, 2028, is scheduled to be held concurrently in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, in which the Southern Cal Trojans participate in university football, and at SoFi Stadium, where by the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers participate in.
