Feminine crossing guard in a hijab heckled by anti-mask protesters at school

Vibrant chalk messages of assistance, bouquets and thank-you notes lined the sidewalks at a Brentwood elementary college 1 day just after a crossing guard wearing a hijab was heckled by anti-mask protesters.

Students and mom and dad witnessed the verbal assault as the feminine crossing guard was helping young children cross the street on Tuesday morning at Ron Nunn Elementary College, according to officers.

In a letter sent to moms and dads on Tuesday, Brentwood Elementary Faculty Superintendent Dana Eaton claimed protesters at the intersection of Central Boulevard and Rose Block Terrace started shouting “This is not the Taliban, this is The us, just take off your mask” multiple occasions at the crossing guard.

“This kind of detest speech has no spot in our schools or our community,” Eaton wrote. “I am devastated for our dedicated crossing guard who experienced to endure that speech this morning.”

“I am quite involved that several kids listened to the exact same despise speech on their way to university and wanted to inform mothers and fathers,” he additional.

Eaton even more apologized to the crossing guard and the pupils who listened to the heckling and famous that counseling was offered.
