Authorities in California seize $60,000 truly worth of meth hidden in kid booster seats

US Customs and Border Defense officers have seized $60,000 value of methamphetamine concealed in child booster seats at a checkpoint in California, the company reported.

Agents assigned to the Newton Azrak Border Patrol Station in Murrieta stopped a driver on an interstate north of the checkpoint on Wednesday. There were being two adults and 4 youngsters inside of the vehicle, authorities claimed in a information launch on Friday.

The company dispatched a K-9 workforce, which detected the existence of narcotics inside of the children’s three booster seats, the agency claimed.

“In those people booster seats, several offers ended up discovered containing a white crystal substance that analyzed favourable for methamphetamine,” according to the launch.

The inspection exposed that the driver — a United States citizen — was in possession of 26.9 pounds of methamphetamine with an approximated road benefit of $60,000, authorities stated.
