California county’s secession measure will be on 2022 ballot

SAN BERNARDINO — Voters in Southern California’s San Bernardino County will have the probability to determine in November whether they want the county to probably secede from the condition.

The county’s Board of Supervisors voted 4- on Wednesday to place the secession measure on the 2022 ballot, the Southern California Information Team reported. 1 supervisor was absent.

The evaluate will go right before the board all over again next Tuesday for closing adoption. The initial draft would set this query to voters on Nov. 8: “Do the citizens of San Bernardino County want the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors to research all selections to get its fair share of point out and federal means, up to and like secession?”

Although supervisors voted for the measure, they are not all enthusiastic supporters of secession, the information group claimed.

Supervisor Joe Baca Jr. claimed he’s in opposition to splitting from the condition but fascinated in finding out whether or not the county and its citizens are owed a lot more condition and federal funds than they currently obtain.
