AC Transit does not
duplicate BART company

Re. “Three can direct AC Transit past economic woes,” Page A8, Sept. 11:

AC Transit does not “duplicate” BART transbay company. Rather, it dietary supplements by going to where BART just can’t, and relieves targeted traffic congestion by taking away cars and trucks from the road. BART, by yourself, can’t do the position. Moreover, several riders either experience safer earlier mentioned floor or really do not want to deal with the inconvenience of transferring from bus to BART, and again.

AC’s transbay riders truly subsidize the district’s regional service and the district would be silly to discontinue transbay company. Transbay riders pay back their fares and a lot of locals do not. It is fiscally prudent, and a terrific service to the transportation grid, for AC to not only continue on the assistance but to rev it again up to pre-pandemic provider.

Ames preserve taxpayers
in intellect on BART board

Elizabeth Ames is working for reelection to the BART Board representing District 6.

At BART, the interests of the taxpayers and BART riders do not usually get the focus and priority they are entitled to. Ames has worked difficult and effectively to alter this and can be counted on to carry on executing so. She is bothered by what appears to be the undue affect of exterior force groups and, as an engineer, performs to increase both equally BART’s procedure and its development tasks while at the exact time preserving a shut eye on expenditures.

Ames is actively engaged in trying to make items improved at BART, while at the very same time remaining intensely focused on and loyal to the passions of the southeast Bay Place. She justifies a next term at BART and the taxpayers and BART riders need to have her there.
