Gabriela Jaquez sales opportunities Camarillo into Southern Area Division 1 championship activity


With an appearance in the Southern Segment Division 1 championship sport at stake, senior All-American Gabriela Jaquez of Camarillo was not going to permit down her college or teammates.

Jaquez completed with 43 details to rally the Scorpions (29-1) to a 79-73 victory about host Chaminade on Wednesday evening.

Camarillo, seeded No. 1, will enjoy at Viewpoint in the Division 1 championship sport on Saturday. Viewpoint defeated Extended Seaside Poly 49-37.

Boys’ soccer

Harvard-Westlake 10, Damien : Bryce Rainer had two hits and two RBIs and Davis White threw 5 2/3 innings of scoreless ball.

Bishop Amat 10, Fountain Valley 5: Jake Hernandez went 3 for a few and Diego Franco had 3 RBIs for Bishop Amat.

King 9, Ramona 6: Adrian Diaz contributed two hits and a few RBIs.

Bonita 14, Etiwanda 11: Bryan Bradshaw had two hits and 4 RBIs for Bonita. Freddie Capacete experienced a few hits and 3 RBIs for Etiwanda.
