Boris Johnson unintentionally praises Vladimir Putin for ‘inspirational leadership’

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson unintentionally praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for his “inspirational leadership.”

Johnson manufactured the gaffe all through his first speech as a backbench member of Parliament, talking on the matter of the war in Ukraine. He promptly corrected himself, declaring he meant to say Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s president, drawing laughs from Parliament.
