A teenager in Pennsylvania is staying praised as a hero right after he jumped from a window to enable neighbors trapped in an condominium fire that displaced at the very least 18 people.

Falon O’Regan, 17, went into action Tuesday when a hearth broke out in his Bentleyville condominium outdoors of Pittsburgh, according to a report.

The incident happened around 1:00 a.m., when O’Regan leaped from a window to help save his neighbors from the 3-alarm blaze.


“Me and Robert, my neighbor downstairs, experienced to go the trampoline from the aspect of the home to the a few bedrooms on the final part of the household, for the reason that they would’ve gotten harm if we didn’t,” O’Regan reported.

The neighbors saw what the teen did for them and jumped, the report mentioned.

“You seem out the window and the fire’s starting up by means of your doorway and you literally have fire coming at you and you have to bounce. You have to soar. There’s no other option,” Michael Groots, an apartment resident, said.

Authorities applauded O’Regan’s steps.

“They prevented a great deal of injuries,” reported Tim Miller, 2nd assistant fire chief for the Bentleyville Fireplace Office.

At minimum three folks have been dealt with for smoke inhalation, and one individual sustained a leg damage, according to the report.

“You are a hero, baby,” O’Regan’s mom, Becky Williams, explained.

“I’m very pleased of him. We’re suffering losses since we assume we lost our cats. But he saved a whole lot of persons right now. I’m proud of him.”

An investigation into the hearth remains ongoing.
