Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) received the endorsement of a longtime Democrat and Palm Seashore County formal on Tuesday, expressing that “there is too considerably on the line” in advance of the November gubernatorial election.

Dave Kerner is the county’s Democratic commissioner, as effectively as the former two-expression mayor. He is also a former Metropolis of Alachua legislation enforcement officer and served in Florida’s Residence of Associates as the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee for two conditions.

Kerner further said that his final decision was pushed by DeSantis’s opponent, Democratic prospect Charlie Crist, who explained he strategies to reallocate money or defund the police.
