Police have recognized the 70-year-aged guy arrested in link to a capturing at an Alabama church before this 7 days that remaining a few individuals useless.

Robert Findlay Smith, who was an occasional attendee of the church, was arrested on cash murder prices. Law enforcement have not still decided a motive in the capturing but imagine Smith acted by itself.


At least 3 people ended up shot at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on Thursday night time, and all a few victims have since succumbed to their accidents, according to police.

Walter Rainey, 84, was pronounced useless shortly right after very first responders arrived on the scene, and Sarah Yeager, 75, died later that night time just after becoming transported to a nearby hospital. A third target, who was only identified as an 84-calendar year-outdated female, died the up coming day.

Parishioners had been collaborating in a “Boomer’s Potluck Meal” when the gunman opened fireplace. An attendee of the meal subdued the suspected shooter and held him down until eventually law enforcement arrived on the scene.

Smith is getting held at the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
