BEDMINSTER, New Jersey — Families of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks turned their ire on former President Donald Trump just miles up the street from where his New Jersey home is hosting the Saudi-backed LIV golf event.

For weeks, activists pleaded with Trump to scrap the LIV Golf event from his Bedminster vacation resort owing to its ties to Saudi Arabia. But now that Trump has refused to relent and defended LIV more than its ties with the nation, the victims’ people collected in protest Friday close to his resort to problem a scathing rebuke of Trump and the golfers.


“To see a previous president two times ago claim that he isn’t going to know about our outrage and won’t know who was powering 9/11 — is the worst that these family members users can get when we’re not even having as a result of to a previous president. That is the worst variety of greed and worst kind of evil,” Brett Eagleson, the president of 9/11 Justice, claimed at a push meeting.

Donning crimson hats with “9/11 Justice” and T-shirts outlining Saudi connections to the terrorist assaults, loved ones members rallied at a library about 3 miles from the Trump Countrywide Golfing Club Bedminster.
