Soccer star Hope Solo requests Hall of Fame induction hold off to enter alcohol rehab

Soccer star Hope Solo asked for a postponement for her induction into the National Soccer Hall of Fame to voluntarily enter a rehab facility just after she was arrested on DUI expenses last thirty day period.

The athlete, who was nominated in January, said in a statement on social media that for now, her priorities are her wellbeing and relatives.

“I have contacted the Hall of Fame and respectfully asked for a postponement of my Corridor of Fame induction ceremony to 2023. I will be voluntarily getting into an in-client alcoholic beverages therapy program to tackle my troubles with alcohol,” Solo explained Friday. “At this time, my energies and target are absolutely directed to my health, healing, and getting treatment of my loved ones. I want to thank the Hall of Fame for their help and for comprehension my final decision.”

Solo, 40, was arrested in North Carolina final month on drunken-driving prices with her twin toddlers in the backseat.
