SALINAS — Thanks to the actions of the slain officer, a suspect is in custody in the capturing of a Salinas law enforcement officer who was killed during a traffic halt Friday evening, officials mentioned Saturday.
Officer Jorge David Alvarado was shot and killed in the line of responsibility all-around 10:45 p.m. Friday around Griffin and East Market streets, in accordance to Salinas police Main Roberto Filice.
